The "Digital Dictionary of the German Language of the 20th century (DWDS)" is one of the few dictionaries that also characterize the word as a masculine. However, the use of the masculine article is very rare. The plural form "Ghetti" is mentioned in "Meyer's big conversation lexicon" from 1905. It no longer seems to be common today and is therefore to be regarded as outdated.
